Small SFE

I have been looking all over the site and have found great ideas and suggestions on what to feed and how to feed a snowflake eel, but everyone has alot larger eel than I do. My girlfriend baught me a small SFE, about 4inches at most the other day. He is the only thing in my 55g except for alot of snails. I am feeding him Krill, but even cutting them in half they are bigger than his mouth. He comes out as soon as I put the krill in the water, but then he just takes one bite and returns to his rock. Is this normal with a small eel or could he be affraid of the feeding stick? If any one has had an eel this small and can give me some hints on how to feed or what to feed him it would be great. I have only had him for a few days, but I spend more time watching him swim in and out of the rocks then i do with all my other tanks. Thank yall for any and all info yall can give and sorry for posting ANOTHER thred about SFE.

thats how my eel would eat at the begining to. As long as he is coming out and taking a bite thats good. I started out with one about 5-6 inches long. You can also try other seafoods just cut them into small pieces.

Thanks for the info. I am headed to the Farmers Market today and I am going to pick up some different types of seafood and try to see what he likes. Thanks for the reply.
