small white things

I think they are copepods or something similar. About the size of a grain of salt and a little elongated and all over the glass. From what I understand this is a good sign. If they are copepods or something similar, where could they have come from? I don't have lr or ls.

29g with cc and dead coral. I know, I know. I plan on upgrading someday. Anyhow, I have a two percs., a bicolor blennie, a cleaner shrimp, a peppermint shrimp, an emerald crab, snails, and blue-legged hermits. The tank has been up for 4 months or so. The last thing I put in there was the clean-up crew about a month ago. The white things showed up not that long ago. Readings seem fine. Confused?!

Yes, more than likely they are copepods. And they are a good sign. Your tank seems to be doing just fine. TJ

Krusty,
Do they move at all? I have them everywhere on the glass as well, but I don't see any movement. If you look closely, are they spiral shaped? I heard mine are a form of feather duster, but who knows, I still dont know what a copepod looks like.

Moksha,
Ya, they move around quite abit all over the glass. They're only about the size of the period at the end of this sentence, if that.
If they did ride in with the hermits, it kind of makes you wonder what else can hitch a ride like that, like ich or something.
