Smallest Shark.

I would like to get a shark. I dont want to buy a 3000 gallon aquarium while im at it though.What is the smallest shark i can get in this wonderful hobby. I would probbly need to get it over the internet because I live in the famous potatoe state Idaho.How big of an aquarium would you suggest. All help appreciated. :D

I have had in the past a Black banded cat Shark. You can get them still in the egg or you can buy them already hatched. They only get about 30 - 36 inches long. They are awesome. Once they start eating and get to know who there master is they will come right to you in the tank. I had mine hand fed and he would also when working on my tank swim all around me and if i opend my hand sit in my hand. I raised mine from an egg and grew him to 30" before I gave hime to my friend with a bigger tank.
A good size tank for this type of shark i would say would be about a 180 - 260 gallon tank. I kept mine in a 180 until I gave him to my friend.

Smallest one that can be found relatively easily would be the coral catshark (Atelomycterus marmoratus).

The smallest catshark of I know of the marble catshark or mecleay.It hatches about 3 inches long and gets a total length of 24 inches.You can find them on some sites. im thinking of getting one too.He looks like a coral catshark but lighter with 7 gray saddles.
