When I was struggling with disabilty...before I started getting a regular check and couldn't work. I took a utility pump ($30.00 at *****) and used PVC pipe and created a spraybar by drilling a few holes in the pipe (the less holes the stronger the flow) I got an adaptor and glued the pipe to it and attached the pump, it created lots of extra water movement for a fraction of the cost. since it's plastic it purpled up pretty fast.
I have my money now, and I still have the spraybar on that pump...if it isn't broke why fix it. Someday I will splurge for the fancy pumps.

I do not like the wave makers with Korallia powerheads. Korallia's really can't take the abuse of being turned on and off, it will wear out the magnet in the propeller. I'd go with Flower's suggestion, or just add another single powerhead.

I agree, with the design of the korallias you get a lot of cavitation on start up and this wears on the units pretty fast.

Thanks, i think im just gonna save up for an mp10
That's great. My advice was if you had a limited amount of money and needed the flow ASAP. If you can wait to get the new stuff all is well. LOL...I'm saving for the MP20 myself...then I had to go to the dentist, (big sigh) it will be a while.

I just wanted to chime in although I am quite new to the hobby.
I have 2 new Koralia 750 Evo's that are attached to the Smartwave. It's only been setup for about 4 weeks or so but so far I have had no issues. I know on some older models there were tons of issues with them starting in reverse due to an O-ring issue but I beleive it has been solved. Theres a faq on the hydor site and it specifically says they are made to work on wave timers but again, I know some of the older models and maybe even some new have the reverse issue.
I normally keep the timer on an hour back and forth but have not seen 1 issue yet with the reverse problem. I have a little piece of white string on each powerhead so I can clearly see which way they start when I'm around.
Of course I have heard nothing but great experiences with MP 20's but I wanted to give the Smartwave a shot. Again I'm sure only time will tell how long it all holds up but I wanted to report that for the time being...I am very happy with my purchase. Not to mention its nice to just click over when I want to feed without unplugging the powerheads each time.
Just my .02 but thought I'd share my experience thus far. I'll report back in a month or 2 and see how its going!
