Hey everybody long time no see. Anywho, my question is about sun coral because there is one at my Lfs and I am getting it, but I am in dire need of
Help. How do you feed these thing-I know you have to feed each polyp. What do you feed them? How often? How much flow do they need? Should they put in the direction of the flow? Also, how do you acclimate them? Sorry to bombarded everyone with all these questions thanks!

I have not kept one , but I would try frozen prawn eggs to get a feeding response, then frozen Cyclopeeze and frozen mysis shrimp three times a week. Put the coral into a moderate to high flow area, see if this helps.

Don't buy it if the LFS can't show you that it eats.
To feed: once they polyps are out (usually after the lights are off) you can feed each individual head mysis shrimp, brine, basically any meaty food. I usually just squirt whatever I happen to be feeding my fish into the sun coral mouths as well. They can be trained to feed during the day, but get used to their feeding habits first and get the hang of just feeding them. If you have a cleaner shrimp, try to keep it away while feeding, mine will literally rip the food right out of the corals mouth while feeding. A soda bottle with one end cup off works well for this and can also help isolate the food to just the coral and not spread throughout the tank.
It really should be fed daily. I feed mine every other day because I have a nutrient rich system. Moderate flow is best. They don't need lighting, so save a good lighting spot for a coral that needs it. Acclimate just like any other coral.

Thank you. Feed once a day? All right sounds simple enough
