Snail behaviour?

Okay so I'm sitting here at my computer and I look over at my tank and one of my snails is up on its "hind legs" and is squirting white stuff up into the water out of the point of its shell. Anyone have any idea what's going on? I have included a pic to help identify the snail and you can see it squirting. I'm sorry if it is not too clear I have a cheap webcam Thanks for any help!

Thanks for the replies everyone! A few minutes after this behaviour this snail and another were in a big pile of what looked like hot steamy snail ---
