So i found my Turbo snail hanging out on my corals and when I pulled him off he had mowed through my Carpet coral. There is a gian bald spot now :
Is this normal and If so what can I do to keep them from eating the rest of my coral?
Stupid Snails.

Turbo's don't eat corals. I'm positive of that. I think you have a different species of snail or some other thing ate your coral.

are you sure you just didn't try and pull him off of the coral and thats where the patch is because they have very strong grip and when you got him off could have ripped the coral along with it.

Also, don't forget that some corals recede when disturbed. It is possible that portion of your coral deflated when the snail crossed over it, and will come back out later when it feels safe.

Hey Guys,
I will get a picture when I can but my camera is dead now and I cant find the charger (Doh). It may be that it is not a turbo but it is just your basic snail from the Fish store $4.99 said it was a turbo. I am pretty sure I saw the coral in its mouth and there is deffinatly less coral there then there was before. When I pulled him off I didnt see any stuck to his foot. Some of it has come back but there is deffinatly some missing, unless it has gone into shock and still has not come out.
Ill try to get some pictures soon of the snail and the "Bald" Spot. Maybe my coral is just getting old : p
Thanks for the input
