Snail question

In the sandbed of my old dwarf seahorse tank, I have about 15 small Nassarius snails. They have done a great job cleaning up the mess from the ponies. I am switching my ponies to a bare bottomed tank. Should I move the snails to another tank with a sandbed? Should I leave a few in the tank for cleanup? Should I get a different type of snails?

My first instinct on this would be to get a different type of snail. I also have nassarius snails in my sh tank for the sand bed. But I also have 6 astrea snails and 2 mexican turbos in that tank. I'm thinking of putting in a couple of cleaning shrimp in that tank as well...I've heard they can be very beneficial in a sh tank...

What type of shrimp are you thinking about? The starkness of a bare bottomed tank is starting to sink in. I saw someone here who had GSP growing on their bare bottomed tank. I am thinking about trying to grow sea mat over mine. It is compatible with the dwarves and readily available here. I don't know if it would defeat my purpose in having a bare bottom though. I am going to give the ponies a few days in their new set up and put in some small mexican turbos. Thanks for the input.

That would be a sweet bottom covered in GSP it'll look like a grass bed.
