i have a 46g reef and at have probibly put 30 snails and 2 turbos in (about a year ago) and now i notice that there is hundreds of little snails ( it think they are snails) the size of half a pea or smaller. the mostly come out at night but but you can see some during the daylights.
is this going to be a problem when they get bigger?
how fast do snails reproduce?

certain snails can reproduce fast. the snail population is controlled by food source in ur tank. once it reaches a saturation point, some will die off naturally.

Had a similar issue last fall. I just reduced the feedings by about 25% and it has since pretty much gone away. Although I do get a few babies every now and then...

Do you have any pics? What do they look like? Are they white with a cone like shell? If they are sounds like pyramid snails to me. You would want to get rid of them if they are, especially if you have clams they like to eat clams.

Pyramid snails are not typically found throughout a tank but more often clumped on their food source. The OP isn't describing pyramid behavior.

They can be different colours as well and when they are young they can look mainly white before the coloured stripes come in.
