snail?

my snail would not come out of its shell but it would still move so i asked my lfs what was rong and they said it was mad because i did a water change and would come out in about a week is there any truth to that?

Somewhat correct in a Dr. Suess kind of way. A water change with new water that doesn't match the parameters of your DT can shock the snail. It may or may not recover. They are partricularily sensitive to salinity changes, but that's not the only consideration.

the salinity was the same as in the tank and he has been like this for a while and the tank is starting to stink is he dead?
