my snowflake which is prolly 10inches long usually stays swisted in the rocks.i want to put so pvc pipe in the sand for him. I dont think my sand bed is deep enough,is it alright to add sand?And would that be a good idea....the tank is a 90 g with prolly100 lbs of live rock

Ya you can add sand. If its live sand just put it in but if not make sure to rinse it really really well or your tank will be super cloudy. Just fill a cup full of sand lower it to the bottom of the tank and pour it. Do whatever you can to minimize agitation.
