snow flake eel in reef tank?

I have a 55 gallon tank set up and currently is just housing a couple of damsels and a snowflake eel oh and live rock. Would it be a problem to convert to reef and leave SFE in?

Your eel will probably more than likely eat at any corals that you put in and possibly fish.
