snowflake eel lifespan

Does anyone know what the expected lifespan of a snowflake eel is? My friend says he has had his for almost ten yrs.

10 years is quite possible. Many marine fish can reach as high as 25-35 years of age with proper care. Ive seen clownfish, dwarf angels, and pj cardinals that were all over a decade old!
