Don't feed any SW fish FW feeders. Get him used to frozen foods such as silversides, krill, prawn, ect. If he is used to live foods then offer him ghost shrimp. Put the shrimp in a container and add some fresh garlic to them. The eel will get used to the smell. You can add garlic to frozen. He will associate the smell to what he likes. Eels should be fed twice to three times a week. Feed them until they are full though.

They're fine being fed every 2-3 days.
Feeder fish are a bad diet for saltwater predators, and prolonged use will shorten their lives. Offer the eel silversides, small pieces of squidd, shrimp, scallop, krill or other custacean flesh. If you use a feeding stick or tongs, you can target feed the eel and condition it to feed predictably and regularly.

like said feed about evry two to three days, and no fw feeders, they contain fats and pathogens that can cause fatty liver diasease in sw fish
