I have a 55 fuge plumbed into my DT and was wondering if it would be harmful to place a SF eel in it. Currently it is growing pods and macros. It has 4" of LS and 40lbs of LR. the fuge is under 24/7 lighting. Would the eel in any way be a bad idea?

A SFE would loathe the light. Plus you'd need it covered pretty well.

I do use egg crate to cover, and part is covered with wood that
has a external pump mounted on it , so this part of tank stays shaded all the time.

Make sure the SFE has cave or something to hide in. He will stick his head out a lot.

I wouldn't put one in a tank with the lights running 24/7. If there is enough shade though get yourself a good feeding stick, some frozen food that you can stab easily, cover the tank, and enjoy becasue they are great to watch.
