I am thinking about changing my 70 gal reef to a snowflake eel tank. How many snowflakes could i put in it and how much LR would I need. I have a 2 bio wheel filter hooked up to it now with 34lbs LR and 38lbs . Is there anyway I could remove some LR?
Actually, you'd need MUCH more rock...however, the tank isnt big enough. Also, Snowflakes are invert eaters and you say you have a reef. You'd have to worry about it eating any shrimp, crabs, etc. you have in the tank.
Oh, I see what you're saying.
You'd be able to get away with ONE SFE in that size tank, but as I said...you're gonna need much more live rock and alot better filtration.
I had two Snowflakes in my 65 Gallon for a while .. I think you could have 2 in there .. of course .. when they were in there .. they were both juveniles .. i still have one of them .. but he's in my 90 gallon now .. here he is ...
WOW!!!!! I just got my first yesterday! The little guy is barely 6 inches long. Can you guys give me some tips or suggestions on how to make the little guy more comfy?
