thank God i didn't get too hurt. i've never flown into a windshield that hard before!! my pelvis felt like it dislodged from my body for a second and it was amazing to see that i was in one piece!!
ok right about now, everyone who got suckered into coming to this thread (including those who read the lil preview window) are realizing that i'm just kidding. no car hit me. i didn't even get injured last night.
you are not that lucky.
BUT!!! i did just sooooo happen to make the very best chili i've ever made last night. this stuff came out PERFECT. anyone else here make chili? let's hear some boombolastic recipes!
better yet, i say we organize a chili cookoff. in that suggestion thread (that you folks let sink like an anchor) i suggested a SWF.com margarita mix and fish fry at CasaDeSoto. now i say we do a chili cookoff too. even though i'll easily win 1st prize it'd still be fun to see who comes in 2nd & 3rd place. WE CAN HAVE PRIZES TOO!!
i'll give my corals away to the runners up. it's a good excuse for me to get rid of them since all they do is bring frustration by withering away for reasons unknown. you can't have my clam though.
oh man, i love chili.

here's an amazing recipe:
1 lb ground beef/turkey
1 chopped red onion
1 bell pepper
1 can of diced tomatoes with the juice
1 can of kidney beans, or any other kind of chili beans
1 can of brown gravy
1 can of cream of mushroom soup
*optional additions/changes:
1 can of corn
substitute the ground beef for shredded chicken
brown the ground beef/turkey, or cook and shred the chicken. Then combine all of the above ingredients with the exception of the gravy and mushroom soup in a large pot, and let simmer for a few hours until the onions and bell peppers become soft, stirring every so often. Add the gravy and mushroom soup and allow to cook for another 10 minutes or so to allow the soup and gravy to thoroughly mix and warm. Stir often, as the soup and gravy will cause it to burn to the bottom of the pot. Season with chili powder to taste.
this is THE best chili i've ever had. You can lose the corn, or mix it up a bit, but it's amazing!!! i love mixing the shredded chicken and corn. that's my fav. combo!

you know what? This thread reminded me of this post i made once... it was something along the lines of great vacations or something like that. The thread had gotten really long, so i wanted to see if anyone was actually reading them... i posted
Mine takes the cake!
I was jogging along the beach in Hawaii (on my honeymoon). It was beautiful!!! I was so busy watching the scenery, i didn't see the dip in the road. I fell of the cliff (all roads in hawaii are on cliffs, what is that all about???), hit a few trees, rocks, and bushes on the way down, and landed on the beach. I only fell 25 feet, but I broke both legs, both bones in my right arm, shattered my foot, and broke my collar bone in two places!!!

i don't post much in the other boards. most of the time i have tank issues then i'll just do a keyword search in the appropriate forum. and i don't offer much advice because i believe that i am cursed in this hobby and, therefore, will doom anyone's tank that TAKES my advice.

i'll try to remember to get some new pics up this weekend. It sucks, though, cause both of my actinics are broken. only 1/2 of the light bulb works...

mmm, chili....
Just a few of my secret spices.... honey, coffee and chocolate syrup in addition to the normal spices like chili powder, cumin, cayenne and jalepeno... the sweetness from the honey and chocolate really offset the heat of the spices nicely.. you get a nice slow burn when you eat it.. I can post my full recipe later when I get home.
