Hey everyone,

I went to my LFS today and picked up the tang... :happyfish He had the big white spots when he was in the bag and while I was acclimating him for 2 1/2 hrs... When I put him in the tank, he was swimming around and then I guess he got scared of something and then just hid out in the caves or my LR. My brother named him Big Head, not sure why though? :notsure: He still has some of the white blotches on him, but they go away every now and then, and then when he gets scared he gets them again. Hopefully he gets adjusted, because it is a beautiful addition to my tank...

Here's some pics for everyone to see.
Hope you like them

What are the big white spots? IMO i would not have brought it home and put in my tank with white spots on it. Could be ick or some other parasite. And your tank is kinda small for a Naso. That might stress him even more. Good luck.

It’s a nice fish but why in the world did you not quarantine him before putting into main tank? Especially with the white spots….

Those white spots were not there, when he was in the LFS... Those are signs of stress... They get those spots when they get stressed... When he was placed in the bag he had got the white spots again, and while i was acclimating him. I'll post some pics of him later on when I get home... He wont have those blotches on him.

The coloration of Naso Tangs changes when they're sleeping or stressed (kind of like a Foxface), and part of the change is the appearance of white spots. This is normal, especially with a new addition.
