So what did you do tonight?

Ah not much. I just built a spraybar for my aquarium and added 700GPH flow to my tank, yeah baby.
I've been meaning to build one for a couple months now but finally did it tonight. I still have some tweaking to do to it but it's done for the most part. For one thing, the additional overflow tube I added, doesnt have a strainer on it and I dont want to take a chance without one because my turbo snails like to crawl inside the tube. The tube is inside the tank but it's shut off because I have a ball valve at the bottom of the hose. It's a good thing I didnt risk it to, because I turned my head for a second and there is my fairy wrasse swimming like the dickens trying to get out of the "J" tube. He got a little too close and got sucked it. I turned the pump off real quick so he could swim out. It did look funny though, kinda like salmon swimming upstream. I turned everything back on and sure enough a couple minutes later, there he is swimming for his life again. You could definitely tell that there was more water movement in there though. I think that gives me about 1500 or 1600 gph in my 45 gal tank. I think I'll be able to remove a powerhead or two now.
