Everything I got is 150 gal with 30 gal sump/fug, skimmer, heater, 3 PH's, 50 lbs of LR, 2 raw shrimp and T5 lighting. I hesitate turning on the lights, a bit premature isn't it?

Let it all run. You dont have to run the lights but if you do, put em on for like 6 hours a day.

I would turn it all on and let it run while you cycle so any equipment issues/failures and plumbing issues can be addressed before you start adding your livestock. Flow patterns can be worked out which means power head and return placement and any changes to the rock placement etc. Skimmers need a break in period anyway so turn it on too.
Keep in mind that if you want to keep corals in the tank that research should be done now to provide areas in the tank that the flow and lighting will be suitable for the particular coral. Sturdy areas in your existing rock should be worked out also for the placement of any corals so the use of glues will be unnecessary in most cases when placing.
All of these considerations should keep you busy while your tank cycles and make the wait seem that much shorter.
