soft coral (toadstool shroom) color?

Can anyone tell me what element within a tank is mostly responsible for the color of a toadstool shrrom coral. ?
I have everything as far as minerals and temps in check in my 90 gallon yet the toadstoll that I bought from a lfs was pink when baought and has yet to return to that color. It has remained a darkened lavender/brown color since i brought it home. All else looks good with it except the color change! Please advise?

Maybe the polyps havn't come back out yet? I assume thats what you are saying since you said it is a darkened lavender/brown color. Give it time, they will normally shed their outer layer after a tank change or any other stress.
