Sohal Tangs

I am wondering, what size tank do they need? What Tangs will they attack? Will they kill a PBT, Hippo, and Naso? Will they attack any other fish? Such as large Angels? Thanks

There are always aggression issues between sohals and other fish, especially other tangs. Regarding your question, I think some bullying probably would cause dangerous stress on the hippo and powder blue specifically. This is not to say it can't be done but I'd add the sohal last.
On another note, I noticed your other threads indicating you're attempting to upgrade to a 125 gallon. My unsolicited opinion is that you would be much happier with a 180. It would allow you to keep some of the fish that may be borderline or too big for a 125 such as the naso and certain large angels. With a standard 72" x 24" 180 gallon, you would be a lot less limited in terms of livestock.

I had a Sohal that started attacking all of his tankmates after having him for about 8 months or so. He was in a tank with a volitans lion, a humu trigger and a hippo and yellow tang

I would have to go and agree with crimzy on this topic a 180 is a must i keep on right now with a yellow tang and Sailfin and even then there is alot of agression if you do decide u have to have one a 180 gal tank is a must as stated above a make sure the sohal is added last after all fish, just not tangs

That's great... you'll be much happier with a 180.

I hope I will be. It is 350 for the tank only and 750 with the stand and canopy. Cant decide if I should build my own stand/canopy or build my own (never built one before, so I am worried about trying it on 180 gallons of water). Any suggestions?

A diy stand isnt that hard there is several threads on the forums that almost show from start to finish on how to go about building a stand and canopy.
