Sohals

Hi, I am getting my 180g very soon. So I am beggining to make my livestock list. Now I am just wondering about Sohals. I really want one, but everyone tells me they will stress all the other fish out. But I was thinking... what if I add him last, and get him really small. So all the other fish are at least 3" bigger than him. Do you think that would make him less aggresive? Thanks!

What everyone is saying is correct.
It's rare that you will even be able to find them small, usually they are 4-5 inches at the store already. They will turn against their tankmates at some point and will threaten your stock. It doesn't matter if you add it last. Eventually it will want the tank for itself. It's just their nature.
Stay away from them unless you get a huge system.

Yes sohals are very aggresive depending on what you stock list lookds like it can be done.............i would also say that you would want to put them in something more like a 300 a 180 is cutting it a little to close in my opinion.

The few I've heard of that do well are in very large systems. I don't think I'd ever even consider one unless I had plans for something well over 300 gal....so its safe to say they are not on my short list of future additions.
