some beginer MH questions!!

hey guys Im getting the nano cube HQI and want to upgrade the bulb off the bat. whats the brightest/best overall bulb? I like blueish tint so i was thinking 20k? the tank has the 150w bulb but can you make it a 250w bulb with 20k? or do i need to upggrade the ballast or something? the tank is only 29 gallon.
also whats the difference between radium and regular bulbs?

You will need a new ballast for the 250w and probably a new HQI bulb fixture. 150w bulb is a smaller size than the 250w. I don’t know if it will all fit in your nano cube.

250w lamps and 150w lamps take entirely different socket form factors. The 150 is the largest I have seen in the built-in hood configuration, but that's not to say such a thing does not exist as I've been distanced from the nano market for a little while. Heat would almost certainly be a problem though. Frankly, if you wanna go to 250w, I'd go topless with a pendant.
