Just some newly noticed growths I would like your input on..
Thanks guys.
1) The red thing with Green edges..?
2) The little upside down white branchy thing..? ( I have several around the tank.)
3) The brown large zoo looking thing ?
4) The Blue_grey Mass on the tonga rock..?

First pic .... mushroom? not sure.
Second pic .... don't know, hydroids maybe?
Third pic... pest anemone.
Fourth pic ... sponge

The red/green in the first pic looks like a palythoa to me.
Then in the third, there was two things I noticed and circled. The circle on top is a majano anemone, pest and should be removed. Then the lower circle is a palythoa.

that may just be,from what i can see, just something that came in on the rock and is now dead.and the blue grey thing is probably a sponge.

No Sir on the DEAD thing idea.
There are several of them "growing " on my LR.
There are very fine "hairs" between the visible branch structures.
They almost look like micro-sized gorgonian thingys.

i have those white things on my LR too i was told they are some sort of filter feeding invert not sure exactly what though.... i also have some of those pathoa things too but im not sure what they are and if they are harmful or not never really bothered to check... but the last is a sponge i have a large on on the back of one of my smaller LR that has green button polyps all over it...

I have a piece of tonga that has some really striking blue sponge all over it. I think it looks nice and gives the tank some color. Keep em'. :joy:

yea i wasnt sure since the pic doesnt really show the hairs to well.there are really to many things in the ocean so it may be some type of gorganian or plant who knows
