Ok first for all you guys who are going to ask about the parameters, everthing is good and temp is at 78, salinity a bit high but other than that everythig is fine. I have around 14lbs of live rock and live sand.
Ok so I have had my tank for a few months, I had a lawmower blenny for a couple of months and few weeks later I got a royal gramma and they are all fine, chilling with my 10 turbos and my 8 hermits. Later, I get a peppermint shrimp. So they are there like a month and then the royal gramma disappears......then the lawnmower blenny dies and I take him out :( and so I have a pepperint shrimp, 10 turbos and some hermits and last night I got a six line wrasse who looks to be almost dead now....WHY?

Not enough oxygen?
Not enough food?
respond quick ...i think he is dead

How high is your salinity?
I ask this because I lost a purple firefish and a bi-color blenny and at the time, which I didn't know until after they died, my salinity was too high. My SG was 1.032! :scared: Everything else, parameter wise, was perfect. Ammonia, Nitrite, Nitrate 0, PH 8.2.
This may not be the case with your fish dying, but it helps to know exactly how "high" your salinity is.

if its a mantis shrimp you should be hearing a clicking noise, pretty darn loud, and then finding your fish dead

Take a water sample into lfs and ask them to test it. They may use more sophisticated/expensive test kits/equipment than you have at home (I know mine does--they have a super-fancy digital test kit that makes me envious!). They may also be able to help you figure out what's going on in your tank by asking you some questions that we're not asking you here.
You mentioned that your royal gramma disappeared, did you check the filter area for him? I've found one of my clowns back there twice!
Please don't get any more fish until you find out what's going on in there!!!!
Good luck and keep us posted!

Yea I promise I won't get anymore fish! I was so upset when I killed the last one since I only had him a day! The guy at the pet store said to the fish before I left "Don't worry you are going to a good home"
When I got home from school and founf him dieing I was soooooooo upset
I mean the other one's upset me, but this one just immediatley died and made me feel like it was all my fault.
So yea, no fish until I find out what it wrong
Again I don't understand why my inverts are fine!?!? :notsure:
Is there something that could be affecting the fish and not the inverts?

I had some heaters malfunctioning (leaking electricity), was slowly killing fish but never bothered my inverts. I can make buckets of electricity now when mixing new salt water though! I'm hoping my problem was a rarity, but something for you to check.

So now you tell me not only am I a fish killer, but I maybe electrocuting them?
Oh no! :scared:
How did you find out it was leaking electricity? Did you get shocked?

Yes, your slowly torturing them!
Nah I'm kiddin.
I found out because it was enough to feel the electricity. Plus just watching the fish scratch and jitter and dart at odd times. Replace heaters, fish problems went away for me. I never used a volt meter to test, but I'm majoring in computers and have been shocked enough times to know what electricity is (I was young...it was plugged in, as the story goes).
My fish tanks are all grounded now.

hehehehe... you are silly
well thanks for help, but I do not think that it is the heater
i really do wish it was that...easy fix ya know?

Maybe it is nitrates? is that possible? I had some cynabacteria, but got rid of most, but not all of it, by cutting back on the lights. Is it possible since there is less cyna and it consumes nitrates, there are now more nitrates because their is less cyna on the bottom of the tank??
but I checked my nitrates and they were fine....maybe I should take water samples from the bottom of the tank instead of the top????? :notsure:
are inverts better at dealing with nitrates than fish?
