I bought 4 new fish yesterday. I think I have died and gone to fish heaven. I got the hook up at 6 different whoelsalers near LA Airport (LAX) to get anything I want at wholesale cost. I saw fish I have never seen before. Then when you check how much they are you almost fall over and cry. I only got pics of 2 of my fish. The other 2 are still shy.
1. Atlantic Blue Tan X LG No pics yet.
2. Sargassum Trigger Large

3. Pinktail Triggerfish- Hawaiian Med Bad but Only pic for now.

4. Golden Heart Trigger (RARE)

My best friend got a HUGE, and I mean Huge Porcuipne puffer.
He also picked up the same African Trigger I got.
He got a Whitleyi box fish that is very nice.
His last fish is a show size + Naso Tang. Biggest one I have ever seen.
I will try to go to his house this weekend and take some pics. I am going back to the wholesaler tomorrow to see what else they have in stock.

yes they are all in the same tank. they hang out together. They actually sit right next to each other in the corner.
So Far So Good. Total Triggers i think is 5 or 6. No problems to date.

oh ok, i was gunna say, when you have numerous 20 inch triggers in a 250.. good things don't happen, but 1000 Might be enough for 5-6

Yeah 20 in triggers would be crazy. Since I hooked up with the wholesale places it is very hard not to buy fish every day. They are so cheap and look a thousand time better then any LFS.
I might just start getting fish, keep them for a month or 2 then sell them. So i can get new fish all the time.

dont do that.. its stresses the fish out more than you can imagine.. i mean i know the lfs does it but they sell with the intention of finding it a permenant home. im not yelling or preaching just an idea to think about

nice fish BTW

I have a broker that helps me out. He has access to about 6 of them that I know of.
I think the best one for fish is Underwater world. The big fish are also at Exocti Reef Imports. I went to 4 other places but did not get the price sheets from them so cant remember their names.
Going back today with my buddy. No more fish for me, but still love to look at the crazy stuff.
If said some of the fish and size they had there no one would belive me. I might take my camera today to take some pics.
One place has mostly hard coral. Stuff I have never seen before. I am going to build a 300 gallon reef tank after seeing what I can get down there.

Your unknown trigger is a GOLDENHEART TRIGGER. They have been in the trade for about 4 months now. They also can go by a WEST AFRICAN TRIGGER but not as common as goldenheart. Can i ask how big is he and how much did you pay.

Thanks, at least I know what he is now. I paid $199 for him. They had about 10 of them there. He is about 5 to 6 in. They had ones up to 8 maybe. Was not sure how he would act with my other fish so I did not get a bigger one. I see on E-bay some guy has one for $300. Looks just like mine.
Here is what the guys says about him on his site.
Golden Heart Trigger
This is your chance to own one of the rarest fish available anywhere.
If you love triggers, you've never seen one like this.
It's peaceful, hardy, and eating like a pig

I am going back to about 6 differnt wholesalers today. Some of them got big shipments in this morning. I will take my camera if they let me take pics. Cant wait to get my 1000 gallon tank to get more fish. At this rate I will need a tank in every room.
