Dragon wrasse actually only refers to their juvinile form. Adults are sometimes 'rockmovers' because they look for prey under rocks/sand. I read that they can actually work in small groups moving rocks around, it is supposed to be cool to watch. just and FYI, love the tank, awesome.

Juvenile form? Are you implying that they are no longer called a 'Dragon Wrasse' after juvenile stages? I kept one for over 3 years, that's why I'm curious. I've never heard them called anything else.
My Dragon Wrasse, which got up to about 6", never moved rock. He would bury himself in the sand to sleep, or when REALLY stressed. Otherwise he was just another normal aggressive fish.

dboy, progressing very nicely. I've been looking to see some updates on your tank.
quick question though, on your CL what size plumbing did you use. I can't find your thread with squid to review. Pump GPH also.

bill i used 1 1/2" outtakes an 2" on the two pumps intake heres the link to that thread all about my closed loop .. https://www.saltwaterfish.com/vb/showthread.php?t=169392
as for the dragon wrasse im no impulse buyer i did my home work he is also known as a "rock mover" however i have over 600 lbs of LR an probably not one peice under 25 lbs so i dont think he's moving any of these rocks ..He throws around snail shells here an there an some rock rubble but thats all he a very cool fish ...however forget having any small hermits he eats them up ..i have a bunch of the big hawaian blu hermits he doesnt bother them ...
And as for the sea horses there doing great i feed them mysis shrimp but i have an extreme amout of pods/copods in my fuge that they mostly get there own food...thanks for all the complimants...if i can find a good photo program ill post alot more.and i did notice they do look cloudy ill make sure mr dragon wrasse is not flippin around sand next time

also on the dragon wrasse he's not an extremly aggresive fish by any means ..only messes with the small hermits an smaller snails here an there...never messes with any fish or corals

I did not see a dragon wrasse in your pics however I did notice you have a bird wrasse in your reef male at that, and hes beautiful.the dragon looks nothing like a bird wrasse.this is why your Mr dragon is not moving your rocks.he will eat small fish.they love silverslides to watch him eat is kinda cool when he catches a fish he will litterally beat it on the rocks then swallow it.ps not recomend for reef tanks this is an agressive species below is a pic of a true dragon wrasse juvenile for aprox 4 in long
