some one gave me a t-12

I currently have a 36" 50/50 compact flourescent and some one just gave us a t-12. (its actually the previous owners of the tank and he said it was the original hood for it). Should I add it to my tank or leave it off?

Wont hurt to have a little more light especially if you have coral. They are not the best but a little can help IMO. If it looks nice I would use it

I have no corals yet but I would like to get some mushrooms and button polyps and also want an anemone. Can I keep those healthy with those lights? or do I need a totally new set up
