Some reservations about ordering fish from saltwaterfish.com

I am looking to buy an orange diamond goby. My LFS does not carry it in stock regularly, if at all.
I am going tomorrow to ask if they could order one for me, but I do NOT want to have to pay for it when I order it and then have it not eat prepared food and already pay for it.
Has anyone had experience with these fish from saltwaterfish.com?
Also saltwaterfish.com is there any way to I guess guarantee that the fish is eating? Will I be able to return the fish if after a week he isnt eating prepared food? Or am I just SOL if I buy the fish and then he dies of starvation because he doesnt eat prepared food after the 15 day period is over?

I really have to say that I've had more luck with SWF, than I've had with my local fish store... I've never had to return or get credit for any fish that I've ordered. All have come in healthy and happy. No ick. The only thing I've returned for credit was some hermit crabs that I ordered with a clean up crew pack, and they gave me 9.00 of credit. I've stopped going to the LFS because of SWF's 15 day guarantee. I figure if the guarantee is there, then the 27.00 for shipping pays for itself. Also, recently I got a credit for a chili coral that went onsale... they credited me 11.00 due to the price guarantee.
Great site, great customer service, and quality fish. I have 2 (what I thought were fantastic) local fish stores, and when I found SWF, I stopped going there because they were giving me wrong info, just wanted to make a dime and told me anything I wanted to hear because I was a "new" hobbyist. Unfortunately, those fish have died, and all of SWF's have lived.
I love this site, and have no complaints what-so-ever... except, I hate waiting for the shipment! I get so excited! Give it a try, I know you won't be disappointed.

all the fish i have ordered from swf have ate.
I just got a blue hippo tang and a blackcap basslet, niether of them had any ich and both these fish imo are somewhat prone to ich.
Also the tang swam around all day even right after i acclimated him and put him in the tank!
The basslet went and hid (but blackcaps are more shy and reclusive than tangs. So i didnt see it the rest of the day.
But when i fed the tank the tang started eating everything, along with some algae in the tank. So he was eating right away and is on the fat side.
Then the next day i noticed the basslet in the rocks. and it started coming out more and more and its like not even really afraid when i walk by the tank! but anyways it started eating (that i saw) on the second day.
I have ordered here several times and have been very pleased with everything!

I had ordered an orange diamond goby from here- here was in fantastic shape and was much larger then any I saw in LFS and had no problem eating

So Kowaleski, your orange diamond goby from saltwaterfish ate prepared food with no problem?
If you dont mind asking, what did you feed it?

I know SWF.com has a great fish & corals and I myself have never gotten anything bad from them at all. I think about using them exsluvely.
But can anybody ever remeber getting anything sick or infested from this site?? I cant say I have.
If so how long ago was it.?

I never have gotton anything sick and now that they have the price guarantee I have no reason to but from anyother website or drive 30 miles to LFS

This is my 3rd order from SWF and this time I had a problem.
My Green Mandarin Dragonet arrived DOA, I think they froze him to death!
They put heat or cold packs in your order depending on time of year and temperature.
I tested the water temperature on arrival and it was 67 degrees.(cold packs were added)
Green Mandarin Dragonet's are delicate fish and not know to be very hardy and IMO he froze to death. I just sent him back today for credit, I'll keep you posted as to the outcome.

Well, I sent my DOA Green Mandarin Dragonet back to SWF.com per their instructions on a Friday and by the following Tuesday they sent me an e-mail stating that my refund was being credited to my account.
I would not hesitate at all for future orders from this site.
