you think there sponges what would make them produce so much
and are you sure its not like some kind of nasty parasite in the tank

not to worry, I have hundreds in my overflows. they won't hurt anything.

Looks like a spongebob sqaurepants to me . Be careful I heard he throws rave parties for jellyfish and hangs out with a starfish.

I agree....some type of common sponge. Q-tip most likely. Completely harmless filter feeder. If they did damage my reef system would have suffered a long time ago. :cool:

Oh no, you got it all wrong, there could still be something harmful that's going to destroy your tank, it's just that those sponges aren't going to be the ones to do it.

If you ever add an angle, kiss them goodbye. I had alot to, I was told (here) it is a sign of good water conditions. Harmeless, yet not too interesting in color, but all good. Take a look into your filters and skimmer---you'd be amazed at how many there are.
