Some SPS' not opening

It has been a few days since some of my SPS' haven't opened(acro, cat's paw, pravona) I thought it was because of high trates. So I did about a 80% WC over a few days come to find out it was my test kit. Still I do have some SPS' that are doing fine (birds nest, staghorn, milli's, monti cap and green slimer). Nothing has lost color. It's just worries me that those pieces have been closed so long. Water levels are:
PH 8.4
Cal. 420ppm
ALK.11.8
Mag. 1350
Temp. 79.5
Nitrates some where between 10 & 20ppm
I also have some LPS' that are doing fine as well(Hammer, candy cane,Minty green merulina). And softies and Zoo's have no change to them at all. Any ideas on if these coral are in any danger? Thanks.

Have you tried checking phosphates?
Anything touching the corals as well? I had a leather coral that would sweep over to my cat's paw and irritate him once in awhile or shrimp would walk over them. Everything else in your water seems fine though -- although that is quite a big water change to do in a short time.
Also, what kind of lights and how much live rock and how big of a tank?

any pic? doing 80% wc over a few days seems dramatic since other corals r fine. any fish nipping or picking at it? try running carbon too if u hv soft corals.

Lost the top of a piece of staghorn. I cut that piece off.

I would suggest lower dKh. I keep my SPS system around 7 If dKh goes over 9 my corals start losing color and polyp extention. Well you can try if you like, it wont hurt anything. But dont lower it so quick, take your time to lower it.

My dKH is 11 in one tank and 13 in another -- polyps look great and stuff growing really well so I doubt thats it.
Could be a nitrate/phosphate issue... corals don't like either.

I have to agree I believe it all started with the high trates. The problem was a large bio load so I was feeding my tank everyday and a lot and because I had no red slime or algae bloom I thought I was O.K. boy was I wrong. So I have since cut way back on my feeding cross my fingers and let nature do it's thing.
