someone, anyone please ??????????

i have gotten 2 different oppinions on this issue, i want to ask you guys and gals...im giong to buy either an electronic ballast or magnetic ballast for MH lights, is the electronic worth the extra money, i know it will use less electricity, ok that is a given but does it really make a huge difference on bulb life?? i know it gets hotter...is it worth the extra money to get electronic though?

Personally I have two 175 watt tar ballast's,and other than getting hot,I see no problem with them...I never really noticed a drastic rise in my electric bill,but I didn't pay any specific attention to it...I would say save the money,and get the tar ballast....
