Someone id this please

Ok, we just brought this home and there were a few tenticles coming out of the right branch. after a few days, this white film covered the few tenticles.

The coral is a frogspawn if that is what you were wanting Id'd

Well actually I was hoping to have someone tell me what the white film was, but since we are on the subject, can you tell me if it is a branching, octopus or anchor frogspawn.

the white film happens when that branch part of the coral is dying but the other branch looks Good

...IMO. Try picking it up and smell it....if its dying it should smells horrible.. i had a TOrch that had the same white film.

yeah looks like a dying part of the frogspawn. U can cut that part off

I would leave it alone unless it started disentigrating... LPS are notorious for recovering even it doesnt look like they'll make it.
