IF he is an employee, but at a different location, he has no business there unless he is shopping. and if he isnt buying, then he is loitering(violation of law and is probably posted)... see a manager
whether he works for them or not, she can have a pfa or restraint put on him. and him working for another location makes it soooo much easier, bc he has no busines there
following someone is against the law, esp after being told to cease and desist. that si called stalking and back in 87 or 88 they made that a crime. before that it was just bothersome.
talk to her manager, and if they act like she is being rediculous or uninterested, then(in the same conversation) use the key words and let them know that she is willing to write a formal complaint to the corporate center detailing that conversation..... their uninterest and unwillingness to assist............. as well as her problem with this person harassing her.
If this does not work, then talk to an attorney and write the before mentioned letter. But, I am sure that the little pow wow with her boss should do the trick, esp once they find out she is willing to persue the harrassment avenue and may have a claim. I guarentee they dont want someone going over tehir head esp when it involves sexual harasssment and are accusing them of looking away(to corporate)
all the managaer has to do is talk with this individual and let them know that his peresense is unneccessary and that unless he is shoping and buying he is loitering and making workers feel uncormfortable. and that his future presence needs to require the act of purchasing and not hanging out otherwise he will be asked to leave..... 1 time only............... His actions form tehn on will dictate what should be done. If it works, then great, if not then teh manager should again be informed and it should be out of yours and her hands.... Try that, in fact have the little pow wow together, you the manager and her, or at least another employee(probably better) merely as a witness to the conversation, if you think even a little you wont get any satisfaction. management hates it when you tie their hands by making harrassment accustation in front of witnesses. THEY THEN HAVE TO AT LEAST INVESTIGATE or get caught in it themsleves because ti then becomes an issue they want to settle. and him being an employee makes it sooo much better because they can more easily control it. a customer would be stickier and greyer. but an employee IS a company matter and definitely falls into the sexual harasssment laws.
pepper spray is a great idea. but i would stop there... just having the gun, even though she feels threatened can be a whole new can of worms that may backfire. and it really is not required in this case. so, why risk the hassle(if you lived in texas it would be a different matter).
