Something Eating Frogspawn

I just got home from town and my lights had been off when I left so I did not notice anything wrong, but when I looked in my tank my heart stopped. My beautiful frogspawn has been eaten right down to the bone. Part of it is flapping around in the water, which I will glue back down. It was fine last night, what could it be???? I pulled it up and looked at stalk as I hear alot about coral eating nudis, but I did not see anything. Do these things only come out at night and how do you spot them? I am so afraid it will continue to eat the rest of my corals. Can your fish eat your corals? I have sailfin tang, blue tang, pygmy angel, cherub angel. I have had them for quite awhile with no problems. I have cut back feeding to three times a week, am I not feeding enough maybe? Please help.

Thanks for taking the time to reply to my call for help. I have added a new plating montipora about two weeks ago and some snails, all from the same place. Perphaps I had something on the base of it that I did not see. I wonder how I can find out what the culpret is. Again thanks.... I was disappointed that only you replied. Again I want to thank you for your help.

Was the monti on a rock? You always have the chance of picking up something. I have not had any problems with fireworms but a lot of people have.. I just hope an expert will chime in and help. I have fireworms in my 90 gallon but they have not bothered anything yet.

Yes it is on a rock. I looked it over before I put it in, but I could have missed something. I hope its not my angels eating it. I love my angels and they would be really next to impossible to catch in my tank which is a 210g. I had to catch a lobster last week and it took me three days. Thought I was going to have to tear it down. I have been watching my angels since I got home this afternoon and I haven't even seen them go near it. Hey how often do you feed your fish? Perhaps I am not feeding enough and they are hungry. Whatever it is that eating is taking it right down to the hard skeleton. Thanks for helping me, if nothing else it is nice to know someone on here is listening.

theres alot of people on hear listening to what every one has to say!! just not everyone knows the answer so we wait to see what is said! if i was to take a guess i would say angel fish but that would be making a assumption that could be completely wrong!

it could be a nudi,
i would wait at night with a flashlight just to check things out
but if i were a guessing man i would say the angel.
considering you've cut back your feedings to 3 times a week, and angel are constant grazers... i would say its them.
i know you've had them for a bit without any problems, but angels, if the adorable pygmy's can turn on you overnight, esp. when their hungry. i have personal experience with my flame eating my frogspawn and my cherub eating my xenia lol.
but that's just an opinion. just keep watching. that's all you can do for now.
