Something growing?

I recently put a Brain coral in my tank that I've had laying around for 20 years. It had been in and old tank. After a month or so I see some things that are redish in color and tube like that resemble Feather dusters and are about an 1/8 inch long. There are about 20 or 30 on a 6 inch brain coral. The tanks been up for a year no new additions and all is well.

The coral is not live. In fact at one time it was cleaned in bleach. What is growing on it is something other then the coral. They are about one eight inch long. Thanks for the reply. Have a happy.
