Something left a trail!!!

When we got up this morning there was a trail of aragonite going into a rock. It looked just like a piece of white yarn leading into the rock as far as we could see! Something obviously did this for a reason. What would do it and why? Anyone seen this before?

give a picture. ive never heard od that but ive heard of spider webs in a tank.

well the spider webs in the tank are from wrasse because they wrap themselves in it at night

and i belive the trail is from a type of worm or cuc because once the stuff passes through them its left in a trail

I Guess not!!! I have my photo in Yahoo, can't figure out how to decrease the size so that it fits in the 500X500 or less range!

Now that I finally have the pic posted anyone have any idea what it could be? As you can see the trail is about the size of a piece of yarn and it goes way back into the rock!

Looks like sand in the picture.

it definitely is made of the sand but it looks as if it is weaven into a yarn like substance! It starts at the bed of our araganite and goes into the rock. It almost looks as if the sand is sticky and rolled out! I don't know how else to explain it!

like i said before probably a detrivore because they eat sand and their bodies take the nutritious stuff out(detritus) and poops out the rest in a trail.

yeah, some type of worm,
if you pick up a piece of lr you'll see tons of those on the bottom.
