something new on my LR

This rock has been in my tank for a year. I recently switched to Oceanic salt - the coralline has been growing like crazy! and these appeared on one of my rocks. Can anyone identify it? Good, bad, indifferent?

Its just a hitchhiker sponge. They're pretty common and harmless.

cool, I seem to have a bunch of them - at least 8 or 9. Will they stay white and small like this or should I expect them to get bigger?

Most stay pretty small but some can get bigger. They come in many different colors as well.

I heard you could take some out, stick it in a blender and blend it up, then pour the sponge puree back in the tank. A little bit later you'll have sponges growing everywhere.
Not sure if I would like that though... I like to see my rocks. Heh.

I have a big spot that looks to be about the same as that but its yellow and pretty firm to the touch. Its not hard but its firm and its bright yellow. Is it the same thing?
