something on my tang??

there is a brown fuzzy thing on the rear of my tang. it looks like a dirty cotton ball, about the size of a dime. water all checks out good nothing addded recently, last added about 5 mths ago. tank has been up and running for about 7 mths. checked him in the morning and in the afternoon it just showed up there. still eating and actving normal, not scracthing. it does not look like ich. any suggestions?

maybe it's a fungus..i'd post this in the disease forum...tell them ur levels and describe exactly what it is.
