SOoooooo last night I went to bed and everything was normal. I woke up and saw my fungia looks like it is splitting. Now I totally didn't think that they did this themselves this quickly. Looks like it was helped somehow but the split line is totally even and RIGHT across the mouth??!? Here is a pic, I had to darken it alot to make it easier to see but anyway let me know what you think might be the cause or if this is normal. Thx

Mine grew a second mouth, maybe thats happening. It started getting alittle wider and then another mouth grew from it. Its more oval shaped then round now.

my guess would be that it got slightly damaged on one edge and the tissue died right there butthe coral recovered and is growing anyway. the split may be a survival thing. or the way the skeleton is growing forcing it to split?

Thats the thing it was perfectly healthy and NO problems until yesterday morning. The only thing I can really think about is that my clown saw a little piece of mysis hanging out and decided to take a bite? It still looks healthy other than being split but hmmmm I guess I will just observe it and wait to see what happens.

Yeah, i am trying not to. I just hate to see anything in my tank hurt. Whether it really is or not.
