Yes, it's a tomato clown. The anemone i'm not sure...the place that I bought it called it a green bubble tip. It doesn't look like a BT to me...but i'm not sure. Does anyone know? Also, i've been reading the boards and some of you feed the anemone raw shrimp. Is that shrimp that you get in the grocery store and just peel the shell off?

I would love to get an anenome but right now I only have PC's
should have bought everything the right way the first time. Nothing like wasting money....live and learn I guess.

I either feed my anenomes the same frozen food I feed my fish (I use "prime reef" but there's tons of good stuff out there) and just try to give them a large chunk and swallow it before my clown eats it; or I buy a 10 cent feeder goldfish from any pet store, kill it, and either feed it to my anenome whole, or cut it in half if the anenome isn't big enough. Should be cheaper and better for anenome than store bought shrimp

1. Could you get me a picture of the column of the anemone?
It could very well be a bubble tip, but the column will help be id it.
Feeding tips can be found in the last post of the top sticky in the Clownfish/Anemone forum.

Thanks you Thomas for your help. Here are a few pictures of the tubes. It seems to be heading back down the rock and has found a hole in the LR to sit in

Yep, looks like a BTA for sure, also is acting like one, as he went straight for a hole or crevasse to place his pedal disk into. It's pretty good looking and healty.

At the risk of sounding completely stupid....Why are there no bubbles at the tips like what is in the pictures. I take it that the tentcles only inflate at certain time?

Lots of theorys exixt, But know one really knows. I have a BTA colony and one will have bubble tips and the next one will not even though they are clone's of each other.
