I have seen some great debates on what people feed there fish and what they soak the food in. So if you would please lets hear it.
What do you feed your fish? Do you soak your food in any supplements?
As for me I feed my fish Marine Cuisine, frozen Krill, shrimp chopped up, Algae flake food, and some other flake food. I feed about 3 times a day very little each time, and rotate what I feed them and when.
As for supplements just garlic when I have one that I am treating.

Flakes, pellets, brine shrimp, mysis shrimp, sushinori and romain. I know the romain has no real value, but But I have a large yellow tang that will get mad if he does not have it. He'll turn white and splash water out of the tank??? Then he gets mad at a large mexican tirbo when the snail starts eating the sushinori. He'll flare up and end up knocking him off????Anybody else experiance problems like this?????? CLICK HERE TO SEE MY REEF.

I swear by Formula frozen foods. I fed my fish it everyday. Alternating between '1' and '2.' They ate the same thing for years! They didn't seem to care.

I did not build the tank though I did design it. The guys at Oceanview built it. Then I had a really good lfs store build the sump. It's really something to see. And I did the skimmer. But thank you both for the compliments!!!

I feed my tanks a mixture of brine, krill, formula 1, life line and silversides. Depending on the fish in that tank. I also use Kents Phytoplankton once a week, and Coral Life Target food once a week for my inverts.
The target food is the plankton that is kept in the fridge. i have only been using it for a couple of months but everything seems to like it. Can't tell much difference from the phytoplankton other than its a lot more of a pain in the a** to use.
When Feeding frozen foods I put my food in a small (2-3 oz.) cup and then top with hot water to defrost the food. Works great but the formula 1 and life line don't melt like that. Any Suggestions?

Bacchus_fl, I always use these little cups(ramikins). I just thaw enough to fill them up with whatever I'm using. Then when I need them de-thawed. I just place them euther under my lights(corner of the overflow) or under the grow light on the refugium. Thaws out everything in a matter of minutes. Just a suggestion

Good idea I use the same cups but don't have a section where my lights would be strong enough. The hot water works for everything except the lifeline and formula 1. I guess I will have to leave it out longer. Do you think microwave would work?
