Hey all,
I am heading down to UNC-chapel hill next weekend for a basketball game, and while I was down there I wanted to get some southdown cus I heard they might have it in the Raleigh or Cary, North Carolina home depots.
Does anyone have real confirmation that it is currently in stock there or not?
Please please..

Thanks, I was just hoping someone had actually seen it in one of those stores.. cus i'm worried the employees don't know what the crap they are talking about over the phone.

To be perfectly honest, they don't have any idea what it is whether they have it or not. It's impossible to find it in TX too, but after about 3 months of looking, I found some in a LFS in a tiny little town in Central TX through one of the members on this board, you just have to keep looking and keep asking. It wouldn't hurt to call neighboring states looking for it. Chances are, there is some Home Depot in one of the states near you that has it. They can then send it to your local HD free of shipping cost to you. Atleast that's how Lowes worked when I was employed there.

Well I just got back from the HD in Wake FOrest and I checked for ya and they have NO Southdown. They just had the Kwikqrete stuff. I imagine spring and summer are easier times to find sand bc of demand.

I know this is a bit out of your way, but I found some at the Home Depot in Springfield, VA. They said there was plenty at $4.99 a bag. Hope this helps, and save some for me... I'm headed up there this weekend.

for one if it is $4.99 a bag it is not southdown or oldcastle!they are never cheaper than $6.88 a bag about that anyway.they are giving you the price on the regular playsand.there are 3 types under the same sku number at home depot unless you have seen the bag and it looks like this it is not what you want or it may look just like this bag but without the southdown on it.but the bag always looks like this
