Not sure if I'm posting this in the right forum, but I found some useful info on Southdown and thought I'd pass it on...
1) I've heard alot of people say they can't find it in their area. This article is a great one and even has a link to the corporate site that can probably help you to aquire some Southdown.

2) This one's pretty scientific, but talks about the specific "um" of Southdown sand:
