Are the spaghetti's attached to a base at all? Is it a spaghetti worm? I don't know about the strands being porous though.... can't wait for the pic.

cant really get good pics but here it is

my first thought was some kinda sponge or something
i dont think its a feather duster because i havent seen any of the feathery parts lol. there all over my rock though and lil patches of them in the sand
when its in the water you can kinda see through them and are very porous but when i take them out they turn brownish and i cant see through them anymore

i was thinking sponges too, they move with the flow but non on their own. some of them have sand stuck to them and in a few it looks like you can see something in them like they eat or something

Its hard to tell by those pictures but kind of looks like a type of harmless worms I had in my last tank. To see if I'm right take a silverslide or some type of heavy food ( so it will sit there and not blow away with the current ) and place it by or on them. if they all seem to reach out to the food then thats what it is. If not, then I have no clue.

^ actually a piece of shrimp fell into one of the piles and within 10 min. it was gone...but can it be a worm if it dont move on its own??? and theres TONS of them lol

yep thats what they are. They are anchored and don't move. They are harmless and will eat like a clean up crew. They can multiply fast and end up covering all the sand though if not controled.
