I took the advice of a guy at a LFS who told me to raise my SG from the current 1.022 to 1.024 for the invertebrates in my tank. Now that I have raised it to 1.024 I have noticed a reduced visibility in my tank due to all of the salt particles that are everywhere. Is this a normal occurance or does this point to a filtration problem? I have checked all other levels such as nitrates, nitrites, ammonia and Ph and all looks good. Thanks for any suggestions.

how did you raise it. The salt should have been completey disolved before you even added it to the tank?

I mixed it in conditioned tap water and then added it 24 hours later. It has been in the tank now for 5 days. Even if it wasn't completely dissolved at the time in should be now after being run through the system for 5 days shouldn't it?

not necessarily. if it clumped up then it can take longer to disolve are you sure its salt though after 5 days i would think it would have dropped to the bottom of the tank.

Air...lol
Might be a skimmer, Could be the return pump is sucking air and needs a top off...
