Hmmm. I think more info is needed here. What do you want to put this splash shield on?

on this. They are t12 4 24'' I want to add another strip so there will be 6 24'' bulbs all together. I am also going to overdrive the bulbs for a vho set up. they sit about 4-5 inches off the top of the water

I suspected it was for the lights as i just broke my 400 watt bulb last week from splashing it. I was not to sure on the best course of action for a splash gaurd as i would think they would diminish the spectrum of your lighting.

A lot of lighting has splash sheilding on it. You could fabricate something out of some acrylic for that setup rather easily. Be aware that you will need to move air over the bulbs to keep the heat down so maybe a small computer fan or two.

hmmm didnt think about airflow across the bulbs
Computer fans sound good but I dont think they are 110 volts. I will have to figure out an adapter somehow. Cool brain food

yup normally a 12Volt adapter runs them. Do a search on here and you will find others that have done this.

You can get a 120v. PC fan at radio shack. I use 2 of them on my 135.
Get a 4' X ????(whatever it takes to cover the lights.) sheet of acrylic, and some acrylic rod, or even some dowel rod will work. Attach the rods (4 or 6)to each corner of the acrylic (and in the middle if sagging) with stainless screws, then attach the rods to your canopy. Or , maybe to the canopy first, probably would be easier.

cool thanks guys. I will have to make one. I just bought new bulbs 2 20k and 2 antics and I noticed salt creep but it looks more like water spots on them.

I just googled clear lexan. I dont think it will work it says it is resistent to uv. I am not sure if that means uv light wont hurt it or if it will block it.
