splitting live rock

i have a peice on live rock that is about 12/8/4 and i would like to split it down the middle ending up with two 12/8/2 peices to make ledges with.
any thoughts would help.

A hammer and a chisel.

If you don't have a chisel a large flat blade screwdriver will to. Oh yeah, safety glasses are a must.

not very accurate but a wedge on the ground and slam rock. Body armor just in case its spits off crazy pieces. HAHA

I'm not sure where you plan on placing it (in sand or on other rock) and I don't know the shap of it, but would a tile saw be an option to split it in two pieces 9and not severa, as with a hammer)?

hammer and chisle put it will break the way it wants to when you hit it
