sponge growing on my rock?

Hey guys. I just noticed a structure on the back side of one of my liverocks and it looks to be a very new sponge formation. it has the one big hole down the middle and very tiny ones everywhere else. It is a transparent white spongy material and is about half and inch tall. What do you guys think? What is it? I cant get a pic due to no camera. Sorry

yep it is sponge. I have several white ones, brown,blue,green and yellow too. They show up as the tank ages..............
